The
Frame Shop Gallery presents a boring but true informational flyer
about
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE
YOU INVEST IN CUSTOM FRAMING!
(and yes, you're right,
we don't think you'll read it.)
|
1st
BORING BUT TRUE FACT:
What you are really buying when you use the services of a custom
framer is the talent, knowledge and the ability to select the
proper framing materials for your particular project. That means
the right colors, the right frame style, and most importantly, the
right materials to protect your art, photo or memorabilia.
|
2nd
BORING BUT TRUE FACT:
The Frame Shop Gallery does not out source! All construction and
assembly of your framing project is done onsite, in house, by our
experienced professional staff. Your project will truly be Made In
America!
|
3rd
BORING BUT TRUE FACT:
At the Frame Shop Gallery, we only use materials that have been
proven to protect and maintain art in as close to its original
condition as possible. Even the backing board, mounting materials,
glues, and wire are rated the best according to today's industry
standard for museum framing. We don't cut corners to save money,
even if our customers wouldn't know the difference.

4th
BORING BUT TRUE FACT:
Wanna know why your moulding really cost so much? It's all first
quality wooden mouldings (evidenced by the varying wood grains on
the corner samples), not plastic or composite materials, and none
are mass produced in foreign countries that do not pay living
wages. Many are hand finished or water gilded and none of our
designs have been copied illegally - no knock offs here.
|
5th
BORING BUT TRUE FACT:
We only use conservation mats (not paper-buffered) and adhere to
strict framing industry guidelines for conservation and
preservation of all of your pieces. If matting is not your choice,
we use spacers to insure proper airflow.
|
6th
BORING BUT TRUE FACT:
All glass is not created equal. In order
to preserve and protect your artwork, we use the best conservation
quality framing glass available (Tru Vue, not window glass). Our
plexi-glass is also the finest available in the industry and is
indistinguishable from glass when seen in a frame.
|
7th
BORING BUT TRUE FACT:
Just like anything you buy, there are all levels of quality, and
custom framing is no different. Sometimes things that are a
bargain are only a bargain initially -- the real cost comes later.
We never compromise. With a hundred years lifetime on true
conservation framing they are the real bargain. Your custom framed
heirloom from The Frame Shop Gallery will long outlast almost
anything else you own. It'll even outlast you.
